Driveway Removal

This project was in the hills of Oakland, the driveway had obviously seen better days but the big problem was that at the bottom of the diveway the concrete had sunken and made it extremely difficult to cars to cross. We demolished and removed all of the concrete and built up and compacted the problem area. Upon completion the driveway climbed 1/4 inch per foot for 75 feet making it easy for even the smallest of cars to climb. My bid was 1/2 of the next lowest bid, I guess the other guys don't know how to control their costs. The concrete contractor was just happy because I left the job in such a condition that he was able to just show up at the job, frame and pour. He said normally he has to spend a day or two doing the finish grade.I was able to recycle 20 tons of concrete and 15 tons of dirt and not an ounce of material ended up at the landfill!

Land Clearing

This was a simple backyard clearing project for a homeowner. He had recently bought the home as an investment and had a couple months to fix it up and flip it. Obviously the back yard had been neglected for several years and was ready for a facelift. His plans called for some new concrete, sod, and flower beds. In addition to his plans he expressed some concerns about drainage. It appeared all the water would flow towards his house. I got out my level and confirmed his concerns and graded the lot so that the water would flow towards the proper drainage areas. We demolished and removed all of the concrete, dug out the new concrete pad areas to 5" and the sod areas to 3". We also removed all of the stumps and large rocks to make it easier to landscape later on. The job took 6 hours to complete and we recycled 99% of the materials. 15 tons of concrete 25 tons of dirt found new homes outside of the landfill. 500 lbs. of stumps and roots were added to our wood recycling bin. One trash bag of mixed styrophome, plastic and debris went to the transfer station. Not the 100% we shoot for, but still pretty good.

Trailer Demolition, Lot Clearing

This was a job we completed in three days in Oakley. The property was purchased by my client and he wanted to clean it up and make in into a parklike setting. It's hard to see what a great property this was, right on the other side of the levee was a deep water channel with dock and all!We really had a lot of fun tearing this one down and the neighbors were thrilled to see it go too.All of the materials were so intermingled that recycling was a monumental task. With enough manpower and time we were able to recycle 55% of the materials, well below our goal of 90% for structures but better than nothing!

Small House Demolition

The owner of this beautiful little in-law unit in Oakley decided that it was longer fit for his in-laws. At first he thought he would do it himself and spent a couple weeks breaking his back with a sledge hammer and destroying the transmission on his truck trying to pull it down. Interesting enough that's how I got started in the business so no criticism coming from my side.He contracted us to demolish the structure and we were able to have it all on the ground within an hour using our bobcat with a grapple attachment. Four hours later there was nothing more than a spot of dirt among the lawn remaining. The owner sat back had a beer and watched, he looked like he was having more fun than we were!We were able to recycle 70% of the structure which is not bad but unfortunatly there is not yet a place to recycle sheetrock in the area. I find this strange because I know Gypsum (Sheetrock) has agricultural applications. I have my hands full right now but I bet someone could make some money in recycling sheetrock.

Lot Clearing, Site Preparation

We did this lot clearing project in one day. This is a really great service for someone who is undecided about what they want to do with their yard. By clearing all the shrubs and trees and scraping the ground with our bobcats we give you a clean canvas to let your imagination run free. In addition to the general clean-up we also took a large amount of dirt away to ensure proper drainage of the yard.We off-hauled 50 cubic yards of greenwaste, 10 tons of concrete, and 70 tons of dirt. And recycled 100% of the materials. Now that is what we like to see!!

Demolish Concrete Around Pool

This was a pretty straigh foward concrete demolition job. The customer was re-landscaping his backyard and hired us for the demolition portion. The only part that took a little extra care is that the customer wanted to keep the existing coping around the pool (no Problem). The job was a success and once again Hauling Pros sent ZERO waste to the landfill.

Pool Demolition and Fill

Here we are demolishing a swimming pool. This customer wanted to fill his pool as he no longer had a need for it. He had no intent to ever build on the site and decided to fill the pool as permitted by the City rather than completely removed. Basically we just make swiss cheese out of the bottom of the pool to allow seepage, break down the sides to 3 feet below grade and compact the area to a minimum of 90%.
